Environmental Directions Radio, hosted by Nancy Pearlman, has been broadcasting continuously from Los Angeles since 1977 – it’s the longest-running environmental program in the country. This interview marks the second time I’ve been on the show. My first appearance occurred shortly after my previous novel, Abandon All Hope, was published in 2021.
I am grateful to Nancy for this opportunity to talk about Social Distancing. We discuss the book, the real-life inspirations and ideas behind it, and naturally enough, the environmental trends and realities that inform it – specifically, the idea of the Great Lakes as a climate refuge. I hope you find our half-hour conversation interesting.
Great interview! I listened while doing some chores today. I don’t know if you know this, but you’re kind of a fascinating person, Scott!
